k&F Camera Backpack

K&F Camera Backpack

The K&F Concept Camera Backpack (KF13.096) is a waterproof backpack that has a lot of features for photographers. It has 20L for photography gear and a lot more space for other items. It's made out of durable 900D nylon which makes it waterproof, breathable, and wear- and scratch-resistant. Here is my detailed review:

Features

The backpack has a lot of useful features. These are my favorite features that are talked about in my review:

  • Side access

  • Adjustable volume

  • Cobra buckle

  • RFID blocking pocket

  • Tripod strap

  • Raincover

Side Access

One of the best features of this backpack is the side access door. You can easily slide out the (adjustable) dividers and take the camera gear you want to use. You can arrange the dividers however you like so it fits your needs. For me, I've arranged them so I can put a camera and lens in the middle and some filters or other items on either of the sides.

Once you've opened the side access door, you're greeted with space for two memory cards and a few batteries. It's awesome that these things are accessible so easily because photographers often need to switch memory cards or batteries.

The dividers can then be slid out of the backpack so you got access to all your cameragear. You can rearrange the dividers however you like them.

Adjustable volume

The volume of the backpack is completely adjustable. It can almost double its volume which means you can also fit other things in it. If you go on a trip, you can put all your camera gear in the dividers in the bottom and put some clothes, a laptop, some camping gear,... at the top.

Cobra buckle

To keep your gear safe, the backpack has a cobra buckle. This is a type of buckle that's really strong. Military units and law enforcement agencies use cobra buckles because they are strong, durable, and reliable.

RFID blocking pocket

When you have your wallet in a normal backpack pocket, thieves can use a very particular brand of electronic pickpocketing, called RFID skimming. They can hold an RFID reader against your wallet so they can read the information of your banking card and even perform unauthorized transactions without you even knowing.

This backpack has an RFID blocking pocket which means thieves can't use an RFID reader when your wallet is in that pocket.

Tripod strap

Since this is a camera backpack, it also has a place to put your tripod. On the side, there's a pocket where you can slide in your tripod. There's also a strap to keep your tripod in place.

Raincover

In case it's raining really hard, you can use the built-in raincover to protect all your camera gear. The backpack itself is waterproof but when it's raining really hard, you can use the raincover for a piece of mind. The front pocket that's not RFID blocking is big enough to store the raincover. That way, you always have it available when you need it.

Drawback

The backpack has 1 drawback that can be a dealbreaker for some photographers. The space dedicated to camera equipment isn't big which means you can't put a lot of gear in it. If you have multiple lenses, camera bodies, or a big lens (like a 70-200), it won't fit. This won't bother people that don't have a lot of gear.

This is probably the case because the backpack isn't 100% focused on photographers. There's a lot of space above the camera gear section where you can store other things like clothes or camping gear.

If you still want to use the backpack with a lot of gear, you would have to put the bigger lenses and camera bodies in the top which means they won't be protected against scratching each other.

Big lenses won't fit

You can store them at the top

Conclusion

The K&F Camera Backpack is a great backpack for photographers that don't have a lot of gear or also need to carry a lot of not camera-related gear. Because the backpack has so much space, you can fit a lot of other items in it. The only thing I don't like about it is that the space dedicated to camera gear is kinda small. If you have multiple lenses or camera bodies, they won't fit.

The backpack has a lot of features that are compelling for photographers like the place to store your tripod, the quick side access, RFID blocking pocket,...
